As a landscaper, Deni Friese designs, consults and installs Custom Gardens – helping people to create their “Dream Yard”. As a Master Gardener she teaches the Irrigation class of their training program and volunteers her knowledge at classes and outreach events as well as helping schools with their Learning Gardens. Deni will be our guest at the Green Booth Sunday March 14th. Stop by to have all your questions answered about drip irrigation.
Deni has been an ecologist and organic gardener since the 1970’s with a BA in Environmental Studies and Aquatic Biology (1981) and has over 30 years of practical plant knowledge and experience. One of her goals is to reduce the ecological footprint of her client’s yards – teaching them about and converting them to non-toxic products and lower water use. She loves to rip out lawns and replace them with more drought tolerant or native plants. Her specialties are organic and edible gardening, drought tolerant and native plants, critter friendly gardens (hummingbirds, butterflies, birds, bees, etc), conversion to lower water irrigation (drip irrigation, soaker hoses, low water sprinklers), specialty trimming and plant care, and personal tutoring.
