Watering of cactus and fruit trees is minimal, done with drip and spray 3 days per week in summer and almost never in winter. Drought tolerant material replaced a large, unsightly front lawn. Delivery time and limited watering days have greatly reduced properties water needs. The landscaper, Doug Shemer of Groundswell, and the homeowners agree that responsible irrigation techniques need to be part of every new garden design.
