These homeowners love to garden, but they lost their Santa Monica community garden space when they moved to Mar Vista.
They wanted to create an outdoor living space that is comfortable and beautiful, and incorporates space for growing food.
They have a backyard patio that is shaded with passion fruit vines, two raised beds, blueberry bushes, citrus, avocado, and pomegranite trees, and still have space for the dog to run around. They get lots of monarch caterpillars on their milkweed plants.
They also have a worm composting bin, a rain barrel.
Their fantastic landscape designer, Stephen Baldinado from iGarden, will be at the garden.
