Transition Mar Vista/Venice will present a full day of 15 to 30 minute talks and demonstrations during the Green Garden Showcase at 2454 Louella Avenue.

- 1:00-1:30 Greywater and Water Harvesting: What are they, how can you install, what is right for you.
- 1:30-2:00 Maintaining Worm Bins: Learn the do's & don'ts of feeding the worms and harvesting the compost.
- 2:00-2:30 Making Kimchi and Sauerkraut: Learn how from an expert.
- 2:30-3:00 Beyond Cash Economies with Our Time Bank: A Representative of "Our Time Bank" will discuss how you can be less dependent on cash and more resource rich by sharing your time and skills with other members in an interactive community way.
- 3:00-3:30 Home Grown Gardensat Your Service: How to save seeds and start plants. Matt Van Diepen ( of Mar Vista's farmer's market) will be on hand for give away seedlings and advice for how to include more home-grown edibles in your life.
- 3:30-4:00 Compost Tea: A compost tea master will demonstrate the secrets of creating great compost and may even reveal his secret Compost Tea recipe.
