Two years ago all that existed on this lot were two giant avocado trees and a lot of concrete! The homeowners have since turned the property around - with ponds, a chicken coop, fruit trees, no lawn, two giant vegetable beds, and lots of plants. Their goal has been as drought tolerant as possible so they have experimented with different types of ground cover and hardscape, as well as low-water plants. They have also focused on improving the quality of the soil with worm casings, compost tea, mulch and compost.
They love watching their Koi, their turtles or their chickens...as well as picking fruit from their trees.
