11819 Pacific Avenue - Cluster 1N

About 5 years ago, this front yard was lackluster with a dying lawn and shrubs. After remodeling the house, the owners decided to rethink the front yard by removing the grass, building a retaining wall and using repurposed cinder blocks to create a patio.

There's a large area to plant fruit, vegetables and herbs (strawberries, mint and tomatoes are their favorites!). The flowering succulents and other native plants keep the bees and butterflies very busy and happy. Irrigation is on a timer and can be adjusted throughout the year.

The owners thank Stephen Czar for the design idea and Tom Stout (Stout Design : Build) for irrigation and fruit trees.
